Okay. I am really scared. I am horrible with make up. I always end up looking like a clown when I use eye shadow. But I do love to do my own make up and wear pretty lipsticks. So I am doing a beauty post about my daily make up routine. Are you ready?
I always start with a concealer, usually a cheap one from Essence or Catrice. After that I use my compact powder from Kiko. And after a really short night I put some concealer up after the powder again. I don’t dark eye bags!
I also love to shape my face. Starting with a bronzer right under my cheekbones. I bought a bronzer from NYC for 2 euro’s and I love it! So I am still using that one to create shadows under my cheekbones. For the highlights I bought the lightest compact powder from Essence I could find. And apply this in a line on my cheekbones. I also use the highlighter to make a vertical lighter line on my nose. And add a little bronzer on the sides on my nose.
For a little accent on my jawline I apply the bronzer under my jaw too. Just to create a little shadow. And lets not forget my peach blush! Right there on my cheekbones. The peach blush is from Catrice, but I have a pretty pink one from Kiko waiting for me!
You can see the results of shaping. Just so you can see the lines I use. After I always blend all the powders together for a more natural look. (And I might overdid the lines a bit in photoshop for a clear photo.)
Next up I use a white pencil for the inner lids in my eyes. For a fresh look and it makes my eyes look bigger(I never use this when I make smokey eyes of course). Some mascara. I have all kinds of mascara’s, the current one I am using is from Rimmel. I also have a Chanel one and a Essence. I do need the brush to be a hard plastic one! For my eyebrows I use a eyebrow kit from the Hema. It includes a light brown powder and a little brush. I bought an other brush. The eyeliner is optional. I always consider how thick the line needs to be with the clothes I am wearing. Or if I need it at all.
A few final touches, like removing the mascara under my eyes, or maybe apply one more layer of mascara. Maybe make my brows even. And maybe a lipstick. You can see the before and after. What are your thoughts? I just think my eyes are so boring without mascara.
But more important, what did you think of this post?
